Having worked for the UK office since 1994 Marcelo brings twelve years of card deck experience to the Sydney based firm. Marcelo moved to Australia in February 2001 in order to build on the research he had begun into the Australian market two years earlier and form a card deck company with the backing of RDP UK. The successful launch of Worldly Wise in 2002 and the growth since then have borne out Marcelo’s belief in the media of card decks and response catalogues are a testament to his knowledge, determination and passion for direct marketing. Marcelo, his wife Natasha, and their two children, Xavier and Gigi, live in Sydney and enjoy the sporting, outdoor lifestyle that Australia has to offer. In 2008 Marcelo bought RDP Australia from the UK office and has already moved in new directions, including a focus on AMMX and managing the direct mail campaigns of international companies. Howard Shaw has lived in Australia for 20 years having escaped the UK Winters and now cheers for the Green and Gold. Howard has been involved in print media advertising for the last fifteen years having spent the earlier part of his career in the reprographic equipment industry. A dedicated professional, Howard’s relaxed demeanor belies his ability to focus on the task in hand and he has proven to be a rock of dependency for all his colleagues over the past couple of years. Howard lives with his partner, Wendy, in fashionable Leichardt. What the Crew say: "Plays Golf. Drinks Beer. Keeps Marcelo happy. Bliss!"
Having worked for the UK office for several years, Jaala returned to her native New Zealand to start a family, however the lure of Sydney’s bright lights and promise of working with the crew at RDP Australia meant that she relocated once more and joined our office in October 2005. Jaala has found a happy home in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs living with her son Ashton. What the team says: "This is the most efficient woman we have ever met, it’s scary!”
Clare arrived in Australia back in 2002 and has called Sydney home ever since. A strong marketing background, combined with excellent admin skills meant that Clare was the perfect addition to RDP in the role of Business Manager. Taking care of the Agency business and working closely with Marcelo on new projects, Clare is dynamic, humorous and has been quickly welcomed into the heart of the RDP family. A mad keen sailor, Clare also loves fine wine and entertaining! What the Team says: "She multi-tasks better than anyone we’ve ever seen, we think she must have two extra hands"
Efficient, imaginative and always smiling, Vic has transformed RDP’s marketing at ferocious speed. She works with RDP for two days a week whilst running her own Home Styling business with her twin sister in her remaining time. A strong business to business marketing background meant she quickly grasped the requirements of a growing DM company and the results have been outstanding. Fun to be around and always thought-provoking, Vic moved to Sydney from Adelaide only a few years ago and deserves all her success. Vic lives with her sister in Sydney. Printing the decks in the USA means that the RDP required a production manager who could not only understand the requirements of the business in Australia but was also able to liaise successfully with our American suppliers. Graduating from the University of Technology in Sydney and spending time in Europe on an exchange scholarship were the foundations for a huge body of work covering food packaging, government logos, annual reports, branding, corporate identity and most importantly to RDP, direct marketing. With a wonderfully positive attitude to life Katrina is an adrenalin junkie. If she’s not surfing, skiing or jumping out of planes or off mountains she will be driving a sports car or motorbike in order to get to the water, snow or air! Katrina is married to Sam and has two boys, Rex and Phoenix and a girl called Chilli. What the team says: "If she offers you a lift, do not be fooled by the big green eyes and dazzling smile. It will take years of therapy to recover!"
