Adam Coates has a long and successful background in both the client and supplier sides of the DM industry. He has previously worked as the Marketing Manager at Time Magazine and recently worked with data builders Pacific Micro Marketing. He joined RDP at a time of rapid growth and quickly made an impact on client relationships and product management. Adam lives with his wife and two young sons in the Hills District, where he has spent most of his life. He enjoys watching football (the one with the round ball) and cycling. What the Crew say: "Don’t talk to him until he’s had his first All Press Coffee of the day. Seriously, it’s not pretty!"
Howard Shaw has lived in Australia for 20 years having escaped the UK Winters and now cheers for the Green and Gold. Howard has been involved in print media advertising for the last fifteen years having spent the earlier part of his career in the reprographic equipment industry. A dedicated professional, Howard's relaxed demeanor belies his ability to focus on the task in hand and he has proven to be a rock of dependency for all his colleagues over the past couple of years. Howard lives in a converted Chocolate Factory in Stanmore. What the Crew say: "Plays Golf. Drinks Beer. Keeps Adam happy. Bliss!"
Graeme is our newest recruit and also the most recent immigrant to our shores. Originally from Scotland, Graeme has spent many years working in Sales and Marketing in West Yorkshire, England. Most recently, he spent 4 years working as List, Insert & Affinity Manager for Intermarketing & Communications. He has travelled from the UK, via the USA and New Zealand and has settled in Sydney with his girlfriend who is a teacher. Being a keen sports fan, enjoying cricket, football and playing golf, Graeme is looking forward to his first Summer in Australia. He has hit the ground running and is enjoying his new position with RDP. What the Crew say: "Imported for his industry expertise. We’re still trying to figure out what industry that is!"
Amelie is our French Connection in the office. She has recently re-joined the team after coming back from maternity leave after having her first child, Ewen. Amelie ensures that everything runs smoothly and that we don’t miss her on the days she isn’t in the office (because everything is already done!) She loves her lifestyle in sunny Sydney and is constantly entertaining a steady stream of French family and friends who want to see what it is like ‘down under’. What the Crew says: "She is so cultured; hopefully some of it will rub off on us!!"
Michelle is another international member of our team, moving to Sydney from South Africa 13 years ago. She manages the operational side of the business which means she is always juggling many tasks; thankfully she does it with ease. Her outgoing personality has quickly seen her become a popular member of the team. She lives with her son in Randwick and is an avid golf player. What the Crew say: "Don’t mention the Rugby… please… ever."
Will has an uncanny knack with numbers, a fantastic eye for detail and thankfully, unlike the stereotypical accountant, an outgoing personality! Will holds a 1st Class Degree in Economics from Reading University in the UK and qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working in London. The sun and lifestyle of Sydney has brought him out to Australia, where he enjoys exploring the country from coast to coast. He lives with his girlfriend in Surry Hills and enjoys catching up with friends, watching sport and keeping fit. As a former rower and marathon runner, he is well equipped for his daily ride to work. What the Crew say: "We hear he represented his country in rowing… he must have had a sinking feeling ever since!!"
Graduating from the University of Technology in Sydney and spending time in Europe on an exchange scholarship were the foundations for a huge body of work covering food packaging, government logos, annual reports, branding, corporate identity and most importantly to RDP, direct marketing. With a wonderfully positive attitude to life Katrina is an adrenalin junkie. If she's not surfing, skiing or jumping out of planes or off mountains she will be driving a sports car or motorbike in order to get to the water, snow or air! Katrina is married and has two boys and a girl. What the Crew say: "If she offers you a lift, do not be fooled by the big green eyes and dazzling smile. It will take years of therapy to recover!"
Marcelo moved to Australia in February 2001 to open RDP Australia. The successful launch and the growth since then have borne out Marcelo's belief in lead generation media and are a testament to his knowledge, determination and passion for direct marketing. Marcelo, his wife and their two children live in Sydney and enjoy the sporting, outdoor lifestyle that Australia has to offer. What the team says: "If he spends as much time in the office as he does on the golf course, then we'll be alright!"
