
Keep it simple is the motto. Because a card is by its very nature quite small, your message needs to come across quickly and clearly. A strong headline, featuring any offer, and a striking visual are essential. Brief copy details and a strong call to action on the front will maximise your response. On the reverse, make it easy to respond. Leave enough space for people to write their details in easily; it's surprising how often designers leave virtually no space between address lines. If you need a telephone number to follow up, try putting it before the address lines to raise the number of people who will volunteer that information. Repeat and emphasise the main offer, some people flick through their decks from the back!
