Press Release- April 2008

After seven successful years in Australia, RDP is now flying solo from their UK parent and are wholly owned by Managing Director, Marcelo Ulvert. Marcelo started the Australian arm of RDP in 2001 and has recently bought out the UK head office to become the sole shareholder.

Charles Boliston, the Managing Director of RDP UK believes that “it was inevitable that RDP Australia would become independent from the UK as it grew more successful, although the change in ownership does not affect the collaborative and supportive relationship we enjoy with Marcelo and his team”.

Marcelo Ulvert agrees that RDP Australia will maintain close ties with their UK affiliate and he “is very grateful for the support shown by the UK whilst also excited about the new directions of growth for RDP in Australia”.

These plans include a continued commitment to card deck publishing, as well as a new push in the direction of direct mail management for overseas companies. In particular, RDP will be focusing on their role as exclusive sales agency for AMMX, the Advertising Media Marketing Exchange. AMMX is an innovative company that has a given advertisers the chance to promote exclusive offers in mail issuers’ envelopes. The advertiser’s offer is featured on a co-branded insert which is then included with the customer’s billing statement. Marcelo explains that “for advertisers, postage and list rental represent the bulk of their costs in solus direct mail pieces. Through AMMX, advertisers are able to “ride along” with compatible mail issuers for a fraction of the cost of normal direct mail”.

Marcelo and his team are looking forward to introducing advertisers to the AMMX concept to help them make the most of their direct mail campaigns and will be releasing the new card deck mailings calendar shortly.
